BLOCK AND BLEED NEEDLE VALVES
High Pressure Equipment Co. has developed a new line of
block and bleed needle valves delivering operation to
20,000 psi. These new needle valves are offered in both
single and double block and bleed configurations. Both
valve styles have Type 300 stainless-steel tee handles with
a non-rotating stem design as well as optional wetted parts
and O-rings.
HiP’s (MVBB series) single block and bleed needle
valves provide a small valve body/package and Teflon
packing to 400° F (204° C)
with tube sizes of 1/4-, 3/8-
and 9/16-inch medium pressure and 1/4-, 3/8- and 1/2-
inch FNPT. The MVBB series
is designed for calibration
operations by providing controlled flow to high pressure
hydraulic and pneumatic systems through both shut-off
regulation and diversion.
HiP’s (DBB series) double block and bleed needle
valves are manufactured from cold-worked stainless steel
and 17-4-H1075 with 1/4-inch to 1-inch medium pressure, coned and threaded connections and Teflon packing
from 0° F (- 17. 8° C) to 400° F (204° C). The DBB series is
suited for pressure monitoring and testing, chemical injection and drain line isolation applications.

AUTOCLAVE
SERVICES
VALVE
Supported by 30
years of severe service application experience, the TBV Series
3300 ball valve from
Cameron has been designed
specifically with autoclave services
in mind. The robust stem and
bracket design allows use with large actuators
and eliminates weaknesses inherent in other
valves. A resilient coating process completes
customers’ requirements for quality, reliability
and low cost of ownership.
The TBV Series 3300 valve can be supplied
with a range of ball and seat coatings. However,
Cameron recommends a Vacuum Plasma
Sprayed (VPS) Titanium Dioxide Coating. The
VPS process deposits an extremely hard, wear-resistant coating to the ball and seats, which with the addition of the inert bond layer, has a very high adhesion
strength to the substrate metal. Tested and certified Series
3300 valves are available from consigned inventory for
immediate turnaround. Aftermarket support, provided by
Geographe Energy and CAMSERV aftermarket service
technicians, is available 24/7 worldwide.

FLOW-QUIP SOLVES PIPELINE VALVE
AUTOMATION PROBLEM
Flow-Quip, Inc. provided 12 automated hydraPAK actuators for
installation at remote valve sites along Overland Pass Pipeline’s 750-
mile natural gas pipeline. Each pipeline gate valve is fitted with Flow-Quip’s hydraulic actuator, which is powered by its on-site hydraulic
power pack.
These units receive control signals from the pipeline Supervisory
Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, which can shut down
the pipeline at any time, even if commercial electrical power is
unavailable. Each hydraPAK unit stores onboard power for two
strokes of the gate valve.
The Overland Pass Pipeline is a $590 million, 750-mile natural gas
liquids transportation pipeline from the Southwestern part of
Wyoming to underground storage near Wichita, KS. The pipeline
passes through extremely remote areas requiring Flow-Quip’s valves
for control when a shutdown is needed. The pipeline is designed to
transport approximately 110,000 barrels per day with an expansion
option to 255,000 barrels per day with additional pump facilities.
