WATER PRESSURE
REDUCING VALVE

Watts has introduced a new

X65B cartridge-style, high-performance water pressure reducing valve. The series is designed to reduce incoming water pressure to a sensible level to protect plumbing system components and reduce water consumption. The valve features a rough-in kit consisting of a bronze body with integral strainer designed to save time and money by eliminating the use of expensive jumper kits. The strainer assembly is used during the construction phase and is easily replaced with a permanent spring cartridge assembly.

The X65B also delivers better flow performance with lower fall-off pressure while reducing flow noise with its engineered seat design. This valve is certified to ASSE Standard 1003 and is IAPMO listed as well.

BUTTERFLY VALVES

Bray Controls has designed a line of
22- to 96-inch (550- to 2,400-mm)
resilient, seated butterfly valves for
highly abrasive and corrosive appli-
cations. These valves meet process
requirements with chloride content
from low to very high parts per mil-
lion in applications such as seawa-
ter, sanitary service and FGD at an economical price.

The internal disc-to-stem connections prevent many valve failures due to erosion, corrosion and vibration. The splined disc-to-stem connection features matched, preci-sion-machined male splines in the stem and female in the disc, and is available in valve sizes ranging from 22- to 48-inch (550- to 1,200-mm). For larger valves from 52- to 96-inch ( 1,300- to 2,400-mm), the double keyed disc-to-stem connection offers double keyways machined into the disc, matching double keys in the stem.

The DeZURIK BAW butterfly valve line has been expanded
to include additional materials of construction to meet the
changing needs of the municipal market. In response to a
need for materials more suited to seismically sensitive
areas, DeZURIK is provid-
ing carbon steel butterfly
valves manufactured to the
AWWA C504 standard on a
San Francisco Bay area
project in sizes from 48- to
96 inches.

As a continuation of that project, flanged valves in sizes from 24 inches

through 96 inches will be available with carbon steel or stainless-steel bodies and discs. The valves are an extension of the DeZURIK Model BAW butterfly valve line that has experienced so much success in the water market over the past years.

CHECK VALVES FOR STORMWATER
DISCHARGE

Company, offers check valves for coastal and inland municipalities’ stormwater systems. The all-elas-tomer design of the TF- 1 Curved

Bill Tideflex Check Valve allows for free flow of stormwater while preventing backflow from canals, streams, rivers and oceans. These check valves discharge with 1 inch of differential pressure, maximizing pipeline storage capacity.

The valve is designed to enhance sealing, especially in low-lying areas with little backpressure. It is constructed entirely of rubber, making it virtually immune to rust, corrosion and weathering. The curved bill of the TF- 1 seals without backpressure, allowing for a tighter seal that eliminates gapping issues. The flexible bill also seals around entrapped debris, and the headloss of the valve is exceptionally low.

The valve also has a strong spring steel spine, enabling it to handle long-term water weight. The spine is at a greater vertical angle, making the TF- 1 able to withstand the cantilever effect when water is flowing through the valve. Sizes are available to 96 inches.
